Planning a kids birthday party in Brisbane shouldn’t mean weeks of comparing venues, chasing quotes and hoping the weather holds up. Here are the places that actually make it easy, starting with the one we rate highest.
1. Golf Central Kids Parties
Golf Central runs two kids party packages from just $36 per person, and both are entirely worry-free, food, drinks and activities are all included, and everything’s bookable online in a few minutes.
The Hole in One Party ($36pp, recommended for ages 5 to 12) includes a round of mini golf, a choice of share-style pizzas or nuggets and fries, juice, a lolly bag for each child, and a fresh fruit bowl to share. Ice cream cake can be added for $30, or bring your own for a $20 cakeage fee.
The Teen Zone Pizza Party ($40pp) is built for older kids, two hours in a private Play Bay using Toptracer ball-tracking technology, with 9 games to choose from like longest drive and angry birds. It includes golf club hire, a soft drink each, and pizzas shared family style.
Both packages take the stress out of hosting, no separate catering to organise, no activity to plan, just show up and let the team run it.
It’s also worth the outdoor, open-air setting on its own merits. With so many kids glued to screens these days, an afternoon actually outside walking the course rather than staring at a tablet is a genuinely nice change of pace. Parents get something out of it too, 4 Pines Brewery sits on the same site, so there’s nothing stopping the adults grabbing a beer and relaxing nearby while the party runs.
2. Area 51
Area 51 is Australia’s largest indoor family entertainment centre, with a location at Westfield Mt Gravatt covering more than 10,000m². Packages include 80 minutes of play, a 2-hour private party room, a party host and a free TV birthday message, across three food tiers: Classic ($42pp), Ultimate ($46pp) and Deluxe ($52pp). There’s also a 10-guest minimum, including the birthday child.
At $42 to $52 per person, it’s noticeably pricier than Golf Central’s packages, which start at $36pp and top out at $40pp with just as much included, food, drinks and the activity itself. Worth factoring in if you’re working to a budget for a bigger guest list.
3. Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq
Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq in Toombul is a strong pick if your child is into arcade games, ten-pin bowling and bumper cars. A Ringmaster host runs the party for you, and the birthday child often gets in free with an online booking code.
4. Holey Moley
Holey Moley runs birthday parties around its labyrinth-style mini golf courses across a couple of Brisbane locations. It suits a slightly older, more social crowd, and doubles as a fun night out for parents too.
5. The Jungle Adventure Play
The Jungle Adventure Play in Tingalpa combines an indoor jungle-themed mini golf course with a full adventure playground, rock wall and ninja course. A good option if you want an all-weather, high-energy party that isn’t just about golf.
